TV Licensing Trick or Treat

According to the Bolton News, Officers from TV Licensing have chosen the 31st October (Halloween) to target the homes of people who have failed to pay up.

I don’t know what kind of twisted logic they have used to come up with that idea. Of all the days in the year, I would say that Halloween is the single most likely night NOT to open the front door.

Using Internet Explorer Internet Explorer 7.0 on Windows Windows XP

This year I’ve bought two TV related products from tesco and they’ve advised TVlicensing of the events. Fine and dandy, as we have a TV license.. but as it’s in my wife’s old name, before we married, they’ve written to me for clarifictaion that I’m not liable. I’ve written back. Twice now, in fact… do they not record these things on your file?.. and we’ve asked them to change her name on the licence. Renewal notice received this week… in her old name. Sigh….
